THE LIMIT THRESHOLD OF THE VOICE IS UNHEARD // THE SOUND-ARM STRETCHES BEYOND OUR REACH // WE ARE THE FORKED HIVE, THE COLLECTIVE SPLIT, CYBORGS OF THE CUNT MATRIX // OUR TONGUES TOUCH IN A MULTITUDE OF COSMIC LINKS; YOUR SOUNDWAVES INTERPENTRATING MY SOUNDWAVES IN A SPIRAL DANCE OF SONIC FUCKING.
FORKED was an online zine created by Laura Prime and Rosanna McNamara traversing notions of authorship and the amateur / the posthuman and consumption / the agency and mechanism of the voice.
For the launch of FORKED, Rosanna McNamara and Laura Prime held three sessions at the University of Reading as sessional lecturers on performance and the voice. The first session involved a performative lecture tracing the intersection of McNamara’s research surrounding cyborgs, lip-syncing, and (dis)embodiment with Prime’s investigations into the hive-mind, homo-Curatus, and our escape from death.
The other two sessions on 26 January and 9 February 2017 revolved around participatory workshops with the students and a final performance event 'THE TALENT' at the Bagel Shaq in central Reading.
